ASK A CLINICAL HYPNOTHERAPIST

When to refer, what I treat, and how to work together.

What I Actually Do

I work with the subconscious mind. When someone knows what they want but can't seem to get there, the block usually isn't willpower, it's something running underneath conscious awareness. My job is helping people understand what's actually in the way and breaking through it.

When to Refer to Me

- A client can't get past a traumatic experience

- A client is preparing for birth after a previous traumatic birth or miscarriage

- A client keeps staying stuck in a situation they say they want to leave

- A client is experiencing infertility with no medical explanation, all testing normal

- A client is struggling to adjust emotionally to postpartum life

What a Referral Conversation Sounds Like

"Alissa is a subconscious mind whisperer who can help you understand what's in the way of your desires and break through to getting there."

What NOT to Refer to Me For

- Dissociative disorders

- Suicidal tendencies

- Mental health disorders not currently being treated by a medical provider

How We Work Together

I work well alongside therapists whose clients are stuck and need a quick breakthrough to keep processing in therapy, fertility doctors and providers wanting to support their clients' emotional health, and doulas, midwives, and OBGYNs whose clients are dealing with fear. I also love offering group sessions inside practices, so if that's useful for your clients, reach out.

All sessions are virtual unless an in-home session is requested, which comes with an additional fee.
